Yes. The casitas are designed to take advantage of our typical sea breezes, with screened openings on all sides to allow flow through air movement. Each casita also features a roof “chimney” with opening windows on all 4 sides. These catch the wind and through a venturi effect extracts hot air from the ceilings, while the opening doors and windows allow cooled air to flow in from below. On calm evenings 2 ceiling fans keep the air moving.

Where the dirt road meets the paved there is a well-stocked grocery store and there are several restaurants within walking distance in either direction. A ten-minute drive away lies downtown Todos Santos and a wide selection of food and drink establishments. During the winter season there is live music somewhere in the area almost every night.
Tracie and I love animals and will consider welcoming your well behaved pets with arrangements made in advance. We have 2 super friendly cats (Danzante and Pardito) and a sweet dog (Canela), so our first concern is how a visiting dog or cat will interact with our pets. Since that is hard to determine in advance, we consider our place pet free, but are willing to have a conversation around how it will work if your dog chases our cats or fights with our dog. In other words, we are open to allowing your 4 legged traveling companions on the property, but need to have a plan B in place in the event of discord.
Each casita has its own propane fired water heater.
Technically yes. We have a full property water treatment system, however as we have yet to find a testing lab in the area to confirm that the water is fine for consumption, we provide bottled purified water for our guests.
Yes. The casitas are primarily powered by our robust solar electrical system. We are tied to the local electrical grid, but seldom need to draw from it as our solar panels, battery bank and inverters are equal to almost all of our power requirements. We have the same voltage (120 volts) and cycles (60) as does the rest of north America.
We tried several local internet providers, but due to a variety of shortcomings elected to install a StarLink system with which we and many previous guests working online have been/are well satisfied. Each Casita as well as the pool patio has it’s own WIFI hotspot.
